Glaucoma is a chronic disease in which elevated intraocular pressure gradually damages the optic nerve. In its early stages it usually has no symptoms, and vision that has been lost cannot be restored. That is why it is so important to detect the disease in time.

For diagnostics, SAIF OPTIMA uses OCT angiography, perimetry, tonometry, gonioscopy, and anterior segment analysis on the CASIA 2. Treatment is tailored individually: pressure-lowering eye drops, selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) and laser iridotomy, and, if necessary, surgery with drainage implants, valves, or shunts.
