Oculoplastic surgery
Reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, orbit, and tear ducts: ptosis, entropion and ectropion, blepharoplasty, DCR.
About the service
Oculoplastic surgery combines reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the eye area. It restores the proper position and function of the eyelids, tear ducts, and orbit, and also improves appearance.
SAIF OPTIMA surgeons correct upper eyelid ptosis, entropion and ectropion, and scar deformities, and perform blepharoplasty, chalazion and pterygium removal, strabismus surgery, endonasal dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR), and reconstruction of the orbit and conjunctival cavity. Botulinum toxin is used to treat blepharospasm. Microsurgical technique ensures minimal trauma and a neat cosmetic result.

FAQ
Ptosis is a drooping of the upper eyelid that may cover part of the pupil and interfere with vision. It is corrected surgically, and the surgeon chooses the surgical method depending on the cause and degree of ptosis.
Swelling and minor bruising usually resolve within 1–2 weeks. During this period, it is important to follow the doctor's recommendations and attend follow-up exams.
Incisions are made along the natural creases of the eyelids using microsurgical technique, so after healing the scars are usually barely noticeable.
Constant tearing is often caused by a blockage of the tear ducts. After an examination, the doctor may suggest probing, tear canaliculi activation, or dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR).
Yes. For international and out-of-town patients, a medical tourism program is available, including transfer, accommodation at the IRIS hotel, and full support at all stages of treatment.
