Treatment of keratoconus
Strengthening and restoring the cornea in keratoconus using cross-linking and ring implantation.
About the service
Keratoconus is a progressive corneal disease in which the cornea becomes thinner and takes on a cone shape. SAIF Medical Group offers modern treatment methods for keratoconus at different stages of the disease. Corneal cross-linking (standard and Hafe method) helps strengthen the corneal structure and stop disease progression. Implantation of intracorneal rings using a femtosecond laser improves the optical properties of the cornea. For early diagnosis, keratotopography and anterior segment analysis on CASIA 2 are used.

Process
Follow-up after keratoconus treatment is a key element of successful therapy. Patients undergo regular examinations to monitor the condition of the cornea, assess the effectiveness of the treatment, and timely detect signs of disease progression. The doctor selects the optimal vision correction method: glasses, contact lenses, or scleral lenses.
